26 week update

26 weeks

26 weeks, or officially 6 months today.

Things are great, as always. Yeah my ribs hurt, my sides ache and my back’s all funky. My boobs throb every now and then, and I’m getting sleepier and sleepier. My legs cramp up and I’m constantly thirsty, but I can’t complain really.


Honestly, we’re doing great. As I was saying to Regan tonight, I truly enjoy everyday of this pregnancy and am grateful for the experience. There are always going to be ailments, but I consider myself lucky. I’m very excited to be 6 months along – time has gone by really quickly and before you know it he’ll be here.

I’ve started my aquanatal classes on Tuesday nights – and I love it. There’s about 40 of us in the class, and we’re all at different stages so there’s bumps of all sizes which is awesome to see 🙂 The first hour is information on pregnancy, birth and parenting. It’s a little daunting but I’m getting some good advice. The second hour is the swim class! I really like being in the water, so it’s alot of fun and it energises me for a few days. I’m definately going to keep it up for the rest of the pregnancy on my own (the classes end in about 6 weeks time).

The baby is doing great too 🙂 Lots of movement this past week – even Regan is amazed to feel him move so often. I have a morning and night ritual now – I spend a few minutes with my hands on my bump and wait for him to wake up or turn over to go to sleep. He never fails 🙂

Regan likes to play the bub music, at the moment it’s some old school jazz (I think) – he really liked it! I think I’ve mentioned before, but I’m listening to Continuum alot lately – he seems to like that too. It’d be cool if he ends up really liking John Mayer, because I could tell him he’s already been to his concert!

So, that’s it for now. I have about 11 weeks until maternity leave starts, and about 14 weeks until he *should* be here… I can’t believe how quickly things go when you’re enjoying it 🙂
