our first week in our new home has just passed – and i’ve been easing myself in to the new surrounds slowly
i haven’t really been upstairs yet, apart from sleeping and showering… i’ll get up there one day, definately once our new bed gets here – we’re sleeping in the guest room at the moment so i’m using that as an excuse to not unpack anything up there, lol.
Regan’s getting into a travel schedule now – instead of walking to work in 20 minutes, he has to take a bus at 7am to get to work on time (which means I have to drive him to the bus stop since it’s nowhere near our place). On the weekends, he has to take the train so I have to drive him to and from the station aswell, otherwise it’d take him an extra 50 minutes and $.. I don’t mind though, it’s nice to spend the 20 minutes in the car with him – otherwise we’d hardly see each other all week. We don’t want him to get too comfortable though, he’s looking for work around his new area and is working on getting his licence asap – fingers crossed!!
yesterday, after dropping him at the train station early in the morning – i went for a drive up our street. i’d seen hot air balloons earlier that morning but by the time i got back (8am) they’d gone 🙁 it was nice to see the area though – there’s heaps of land being developed further in, but i could still see some horses and cows and lots of acreage.
i didn’t ever think i’d be impressed by a cow, but there you go! it’s a really great area for us – we’re really proud of our new home, i love getting up in the morning and opening all the blinds to let in all the sunshine. i love my afternoon tea walking around our little backyard with mischa. i love that we have a 2 car garage and a cupboard under the staircase.
now all that’s left to do is pop this baby out, and the fun will really begin!
