Happy 8.08.08 !

like most people growing up in a Chinese household, I am a little superstitious about numbers … not as much as others but enough to know when a good number comes up!

888 is a very lucky number 😀 8 is my favourite number – its popped up a few times in my life, not only by choice but by coincidence

26 Things is 2+6=8, our old apartment address equaled 8, our new house number equals 8

my parents have chosen number plates with 8 in it, and Regan’s screen alias once had 888 in it which drew me to him 😛

eta – other instances of 8 – this post in 1088 (as stated in my dashboard anyway!), and the positive pregnancy test photo i uploaded to flickr was my 888th photo on flickr, and in my blog header graphic i chose 88% as a percentage! i’m crazy 😛

that nintendo brain training thingo

so every weekend or so, i jump on my sister’s nintendo ds and play a quick round of brain training

1st try – my age was 29 – hooray!
2nd try – my age was 40 – uh oh
3rd try (yesterday) – my age is 20 😀

i think i’ll leave it at that, lol.

oh, the Flattery

a guy selling plantation shutters just knocked on the door.. asked to speak to the homeowner.

i told him i was the homeowner and, shocked, he didn’t think i looked old enough to own a home, lol. he told me he thought i was about 16 or 17. HA!

flattery gets you a smile, but it doesn’t get you a sales commission, sorry 😛
