i often think that we don’t give ourselves credit – me included. but thinking about this question – what am i good at – my answers can relate back to my kids. so what do i think i’m good at?
i think i’m good at giving my kids hugs. real hugs. the kind of hugs where my eyes will close just as tight as my arms around them, to really breathe them in and give them just that little extra piece of me.
it’s interesting what first comes to mind when you’re trying to flatter yourself, is it sweet? is it commendable? is it gross? maybe if i ask the same question in a month – the feeling will be different. maybe i’ll just do that and see what i come up with … but for this month :
she’s picked up a new skill in the last few weeks – it’s scary that she’s not even 8 months and standing herself up. next thing you know she’ll be raiding my wardrobe for ‘vintage’ stuff and rolling her eyes at me when she can’t go to the latest bangles concert (or was that just me? lol)

so I’ve had a few days to think about it.. and I still don’t know whether there are any that i’m going to go all on .. but here are a few :
stop being a backseat driver in life
quit procrastinating about important things
don’t overdo it on the gluten… oh boy
stop putting too many things in the ‘maybe’ pile
don’t forget that i used to be well groomed once…. lol
