So it’s been month (ok, years) of umm-ing and ahh-ing about life and what I want out of it. I won’t lie – being pregnant and having my two beautiful babies has been AMAZING and the biggest part of my life so far – but if I’m honest, it’s taken over part/most of me in the last 4 years. I absolutely love being a mum, and looking at their crazy little faces and dancing around the living room to the Gummi Bear song is such a GIFT, but that’s not 100% me. It’s not the end of the story for Tracey.
Amanda’s blog post What I Really Want is yet another wakeup call – I’m not the only one with dreams and had been hiding them away. There’s always SOMETHING that deep down you want to do, want to happen to you – but what if you dare to shout it to the world/internet? Are you brave enough to not only make your dreams known – but to actually make it happen?

like everyone else (well most of us..), i’ve been shattered to see the earthquake, then the tsunami and now the nuclear emergency footage on the tele and on the net. i can’t imagine what it’s really like to be there and to experience all those terrible things… i’ve never been to Japan but it’s been on of the places i have to visit asap (was trying to get a ticket there for my bday next month!). not only that, it’s heartbreaking to see whole towns levelled and thousands missing or simply gone.
i’m putting together an auction or raffle or something next week or so once new stock for the online shop i’m setting up has come in. i’m going to box up some stuff that i was going to add to the store, and either auction or raffle it off and then donate 100% to the Red Cross. it’ll definately contain either a Diana Mini + film, or Polaroid Film for SX70 (I might even run a couple of them so both are options). i want to put some energy in fundraising for Japan rather than worry about my own store right now..
if you’re interested, come back next week or so when I should have it put together… feel free to spread the word, it will happen in the next fortnight hopefully!!!
i just finished putting together a photo book for Jovie’s upcoming 2nd (eeek!) birthday – it’s a Blurb photo book which should turn out amazing so i can’t wait to get a printed copy
the software was really easy to use (so many possibilities), so i’m already thinking about my next book… i’d love to create something to do with photography – i have some diana mini’s arriving soon for my online store, so it might be a book about toy cameras and/or film cameras…. we’ll see 🙂 mum wants to make a cookbook, which is probably the best idea ever (she’s an amazing cook)..
my initial idea was to create an educational book for Jovie (and other toddlers) since she loves books so much. i know it’s definately possible to create it via Blurb, so i just need to get all the photos/text/pages together!
