to my sweet sweet boy
i’m repeating myself, but time is flying so quickly. i’m find myself stopping and just remembering. memorising the light in your eyes, and the joy being your mum at that moment in time.
your love of cars and all things with wheels has grown 100 fold – so much so we call you speedboat, because you blow this awesome propeller raspberry so loud and fast that we think you’re about to jet off into the distance.
you’re wanting more and more to be standing, on your own two feet. you’re the most happiest when you’re cruising the furniture – inside or outside.
one day soon, you’re just going to let go of that edge and take some steps – and at the same time, i’ll have to aswell. my beautiful baby J is no longer a baby!

you’re still such a sweet, funny character. you love a good giggle and tickle with your daddy – the way you are together, it makes me so happy you probably won’t understand until you have your own kids. but the daddy and son love between the two of you is strong, and puts a smile on both your faces as big as the sun (and bigger).
in the night garden is still your favourite tv show – but you’re starting to get into sesame street and a bit of yo gabba gabba. you really love watching people play guitar or sing. despite the tv overload, we’re very happy to see you picking up something new – reading books!
we’ve had a couple of books around since you were born – but this month you’ve really started to sit up and pay attention to the words and the pictures. you love to turn the page yourself and will sit patiently as each book is read to you. at night, we read 4 books before you’re satisfied – and in the morning lately, you want to read some more!
i’m so glad that tv hasn’t ruined you 😛 i would of blamed myself
(another note about how much you love cars – when you see the cover of the ‘that’s not my car book’ – you start to make the car sound, lol. so very cute!)
you’re growing up so big Jasper, we haven’t weighed you officially for months – as I’m not worried about it really. a rough guide is your about 11kgs now, and getting very tall and skinny like your daddy! but you still have a little junk in your trunk – junk that is oh so edible and delicious!
edited to add – grandma & grandpa went to have you weighed and measured – 10.75kgs and 75cms tall! just above the average
