my baby girl Jovie,
today you turned 1 year old! funnily enough, i can remember every detail of your birth day – not because i blogged about it, but because i think it’s one of those things you never forget, and you never want to. it was an amazing day and every day since has been just as amazing because of you.
there are just so many things to adore about you – your smile, your laugh, your lovely chubby thighs. the way you crawl away fast whenever your pants are off, the lightning speed reflex action you’ve developed when it comes to food within reach. you’re not yet walking (you do walk a few steps but still prefer to crawl or be carried) but you’re already so grown up…
you’re an amazing little lady, and this first year of your life has been the best year for me, ever.
you’re beginning to understand more and more every day, Yo Gabba Gabba is your absolute favourite at the moment but you also love to have a chuckle at The Simpsons. your brother is still your number one obsession, so much so that you’re taking up reading books about space too! your favourite book, though, is still Eric Carle’s From Head to Toe – there’s nothing you love more in this world than ‘waving your arms like a monkey’ and ‘clapping your hands like a seal’. ‘thumping your chest like a gorilla’ is still questionable, but you give it a good go.
this past week you’ve spent alot of time with your Grandma Sharon and Uncle Rian, and it’s so great to see you with them. even though you’ve been slightly moody, you still manage to put on the charm 🙂
i’m so happy to be your mummy, my Jovie. i can’t imagine life without you and i can’t wait to see what this next year brings for you
