a sign

monday morning, things are go go go. a million things to do, times a million.

it’s 8am, kids are bathed and fed and with Regan, and now i’m ready to start my working day. to get it out of the way, i thought i’d hurry down to the post office and pick up the mail bright and early, so i can race back and get everything else done. (emails first, let’s get them done by 9!)

i jump in my car and head down to my PO box, and just as i go to pull out my key – i realise, i’ve left it at home. so, off i go back home to find the key and get back in my car for another go.

this time, i get to open up my PO box (hooray) and instead of mail, there’s a note for me to pick up my mail from inside the post office. no problem, i thought, i have a spare minute. i walk around to the post office entry and .. it’s not opened for another 20 minutes.

there’s no way i’m going to drive home and come back later – so i’m forced to slow down. sit on a bench and wait. i take this as a sign and i smile to myself. sometimes, there is just no point in rushing something, no matter how much you try and force it 🙂

it’s after 9am when i’m back in my office at home, mail collected. i’ve still got a mountain of things to do but now instead of trying to sort through my emails like a mad woman, i take it one by one. and sure enough, they all get answered and completed 😉
