ok, not really BUT ..
i was very lucky to have received an iPad 2 for my birthday this past week, it was something i didn’t ask for so it’s an amazing surprise and such a LUXURY to have around. it’s been a few days since it arrived, and i’m already changing how i browse the net. i used to carry my phone around to keep up with twitter, email, the news and other things — but i’m slowly getting used to putting the phone to the side and picking up the iPad instead.. (my phone is again just my phone!)
one thing that has made it easier is an app called Flipboard – it basically combines any social media, blog, news feed, website and puts it into a magazine style format. it’s like my own custom newspaper to wake up to everyday. here’s what my Flipboard page looked like this morning –
i was able to read my twitter feed, check flickr, read a few blogs and catch up on the news REALLY quickly. no loading of different apps, or going through gazillion websites to check the news or new blog posts.
i love it.
