Regan and i had plans to spend our day off together doing some fun stuff since he’ll be working for our first Valentines Day together (yeah we know it’s just a gimmick, but come on – it’s cool to be a dork). knowing our luck lately with trying to get the same days off work – he was called in today! grrrr.
we decided to make the best of the situation and we went for an early breakfast at passionflower at darling harbour. (i had the pancakes i was craving for! mmm. Regan got the mega breakfast which was the biggest plate of eggs, toast, mushrooms, sausage and bacon i’d ever seen). afterwards, we had to go see our migration lawyer people to finally submit our papers for the second part of the visa process (there’s three parts, next one is in 2 years) and i went to get my driver’s licence renewed at the rta.
after i saw Regan off to work, i walked around the city a bit and decided to make Regan a surprise dinner since we’re pretty much broke and hungry, haha. i looove cooking, or what i think is cooking, so i ended up cooking some spinach and ricotta ravioli with roasted tomato sauce, lettuce/avocado/parmesan cheese and tomato salad, homemade garlic toast and baking a choc fudge cake for dessert. it’s nothing fancy but i like putting it altogether and Regan seemed to like it too which is what i was going for!
anyway, tommorrow i’ll be dropping Regan off at work at 8am and going to spend the day with my parents until he gets back from work at 6-7pm.. if i can’t control myself, i’ll probably end up surprising Regan with something else tommorrow too!
p.s. yep, i’m still talking alot about food and eating alot of it lately. so far people have suggested : happy newlywed, increased metabolism, pregnancy. i say, it’s all of them or none of the above 😛
