friday saw Regan and i finally getting a decent sleep in! hoooray! i forget what it’s like to have time to spare, so it was a good change. we ended up going out for a bit to play some pool (i think we’re addicted) and some video games, which is a total luxury for us and proved that i suck at car games. i had found office space on sale, so we stayed in and had a movie night at home.
saturday, which was supposed to be a really hot day (it was 43 degrees celcius out at my parent’s place), turned out to be a bearable day for us as we walked the city. Regan treated me to the Man Ray exhibition at the Art Gallery of NSW. i’ve never really gotten into Man Ray personally but it was cool to see his alot of his work, a few of his portraits were really beautiful.
later on in the day, we trotted off to the foodhall at david jones to spend part of our gift coins on some yummy food. i ended up going a little nuts with the cake, and bought a few little things to pig out on. there actually wasn’t much to get, so we’ve still got alot of gift coins to go through. we’ll get there eventually, that truffle bar ain’t getting away that easy!
sunday is our housework day, but later on in the afternoon we headed out to my parents place for their 31st wedding anniversary dinner! 31 years, wow! Regan and i are honing in on 2 months 😉 we had decided to get them a pair of gourami’s as a gift since they didn’t want us to get anything for them (not present-y kind of people) and we ended up walking right into Jamieanne who works at the aquarium! it was really cool meeting her, and a nice surprise for the day 🙂 (hellllooooo Jamieanne!). she’s also looking for Sydney-siders who are interested in attending lomo meetings, let us know!
on a side note, my jaw really started hurting at about sunday lunch time so i was mostly cranky and nauseous for the better half of the day. ew. last time my jaw ached like this was when my wisdom teeth were coming through, but now that they’re not … hmmm.
anyway, it’s back to monday and i’m tired and all blahhhhhhh. one thing that’s making me happy though is the pictures of donuts i posted up at shutterbug. i’m obsessed with food lately (and yep, i’m still hungry as a horse pig!)
