good grief

36 degrees celcius in the SHADEsydney, what’s with the heat today?

37 degrees celcius (98F) in the city – on my way to lunch to meet up with some girl friends, i blacked out and almost threw up all over darling harbour. by myself. luckily within walking distance of the apartment, but holy crap it scared me and the passers by. eeeeeep.

so that little adventure made me an indoor kitty today, and i’ve been resting and looking through photographs. i’ve managed to post a series of ‘travel’ shots from sydney to charlotte, that i took on my sister’s canon ixus 400. definately more series and single shots to post up as the weeks go by, and i’ll get a seperate, snap shot gallery going as soon as i’ve gone through them all.

i haven’t counted exactly how many digital photos i took over the 4 weeks, but i’d guess 2000? (i’ll let you know). i printed off a very very small selection of prints at harvey norman on monday, just for the photo album. the final count was about 486, which was the most i could burn onto one 700MB cd… and was the highest amount of prints i could afford right now! my holiday photo albums are insane.

there isn’t a new game planned for this month (or for another couple months at least).

Even Italian newspaper were talking about the heatwave in Sydney. It sucks. I like it when it’s warm outside but this is really too much.

we’re heaving heat here too, although not as high as 98F! it sucks because ours is dry heat, too.. makes me feel icky, and drinking water bottles like no tomorrow.

it’s been hot around here too (los angeles) and its supposed to be fall. even mona in san francisco (where it’s usually colder than l.a.) complained about it yesterday.

i hope you’re feeling better now.

yeah, we rack up a good amount of photos when on holidays too — about 600 on a 3-week tour of europe. i say, the more the merrier! looking forward to your snaps.
