managed to stay at home most of the weekend, but good lord it’s hard to sit still!
the net connection wasn’t working at all (from the PC or laptop) from late friday night until sunday or so, but because i was stuck inside, it felt like an eternity. got it fixed (just needed a decent powercycle even though i tried it before and it didn’t help), so i could catch up with a few things online at least.
cold’s still around, nothing exciting to report on that front except that my ears have been hurting, lol. will be happy to see the last of all of it but i think Regan might have it now, just in time for his birthday this weekend.

![]("http://sh1ft.org/shop/archives/2006/08/young_blood_des.html">young blood designer’s market at the powerhouse</a> and the eye saw exhibit (part of the <a href="http://www.sydneydesign.com.au/sd06/">sydney design week</a> events) in omnibus lane. the designers market again was really cool, and i grabbed alot of business cards of the designers that i love and want to find out more about, especially for the shopping blog! i was really tempted but i didn’t end up buying anything except for 3 back issues of <a href="http://www.isubscribe.com.au/title.cfm?ID=340">monument</a> since it was only $15 for the 3 (bargain! since they are $18.50 each). </p>
<p>funnily enough on sunday, when i walked through omnibus again to take my parents to chinatown – some of the poster exhibits had been torn down! lucky i got a <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/traceytakesphotos/213773513/">photo</a> of <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/traceytakesphotos/213773512/">them</a> before they ‘disappeared’. </p>
<p>and yes, mum & dad ‘popped in’ on sunday and surprised me with another cleaning frenzy. not as crazed this time, but dad did whip out the steam cleaner to do our carpets – and our <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/traceytakesphotos/213775158/">outdoor table</a>. crazy but our apartment is super clean and i managed to throw out alot of stuff finally. </p>
<p>back to work today.. and i’m dreaming of doing ‘something else’ 9-5. </p>
