my parents and my sister threw Jasper’s 1 month welcoming at our home yesterday. it was great to see old faces, lots of my aunts and uncles came to meet J and fawn all over him, lol. he’s the first grandkid from my generation of family, so everyone was extra excited!
an hour before guests started to arrive, a big storm hit our area and i was trapped in our garage, haha. we don’t have covered access between our house and the garage, and i had the sushi and cake with me so i had to wait it out until it died down a bit. (i screamed as i ran back into the house when it did calm down, i’m strange). alot of my friends had flood damage or lost their electricity in their houses, we were lucky to have escaped the giant hailstones.
the rest of the night was great though – heaps of leftovers since nobody really ate the sushi i bought (yay for me though, i looove sushi) and mum overestimated how much food to cook. J got more great presents, and he met Cara’s daughter Rafi (who is 12 weeks old) and Prasangi’s daughter Natalie (who just turned 1!). he was really well behaved around everyone, loved being held and passed around. a very good little boy they all said!
so after the big clean up, we all crashed for the night and woke up this morning for the big cleanup. next party – christmas!!
