no, i don’t consider myself fat, but what a cool title huh LOL
i had a few minutes to spare yesterday, so i weighed myself at the health store and was surprised but not shocked at what i saw. i always knew i had some weight to lose but it was disappointing to see it in writing..
at my first prenatal appointment with Jasper, i weighed in at 57kgs. today i’m 69kgs. and today, i swear to buddha i will not hit 70kgs.
it’s not a ‘yummy mummy’ thing (please pass the bucket, ew). it’s a matter of self respect and health. i don’t like the way i fit into clothes, and i refuse to keep buying new clothes in my larger size. the realisation probably started a year ago when i saw myself in my friend’s wedding photos – i didn’t recognise that girl, i didn’t like the way she let herself go.
so what am i going to do? i’m cutting out soda, burgers, cookies, cakes and icecream – my lovely close friends. i’m exercising at least 4 times a week – instead of just once. i’m not going to bake a cake because i’m bored. i’m going to park farther away from the shops as possible with two kids in tow. i’m going to drink a glass of water before snacking. if i can do this for 6 weeks and see where i am, i’ll be happy. i’m considering going back to a full gluten free diet but we’ll see…
i’m never one to go by numbers, but as a goal it’ll work this time – i want to get down to 60kgs and i want my abs back. can i do it by my 30th birthday? (about 6 months from now). maybe. i’ve never had to be this strict on myself because of my weight, but i sure don’t want to slip further down the path of no return.
anyone care to join me?
