Jasper and I headed out to the city today, and I surprised him with an early Christmas present – his own digital camera. We did have the kiddie digital camera, but to be honest it was garbage (terrible quality pics, horrible battery life, teeny tiny screen) so I just got him a cheapie point and shoot.
The last time we went out photo walking with my friends, I gave him my mini Diana and he was clicking away like crazy. Multiple exposure shots on film lol. So I thought it’d be a good time to buy something small so he has his own when we’re out next time.
He had alot of fun taking photos and wasn’t too bad at it! Here are some of his photos snapped today –
Yes, there were ALOT of photos of his fingers on the lens but like any photo walk, if you can get a handful a shots you should be happy 🙂 I’m definately going to take him on more photo walks soon!

While I was still working full time, my mum was the one who took Jasper to school (childcare) and picked him up. I can’t describe to you how jealous I was of her – even that small token of the school drop off & pick up meant alot to me.
Fast forward to today, I’ve been off work for 4 months now and I get to do the drop off & pick up each week. I LOVE IT.
I get to talk to his teachers, I get to see his friends. I get to sneak in on dance time!
Simple things make me happy 🙂 But most of all, I love that I’m more a part of Jasper’s routine than ever before and you can’t put a price on that.
