31 Photos in 31 Days: December 2011: Day 4

Today’s was Jasper’s preschool Christmas Concert, and I swear I have never been prouder or seen anything more adorable than my Jasper on stage DANCING (well, wiggling and moving his arms around).

Jasper’s a typical boy so he’s basically CRAZY, and we didn’t know how well he’d do up on the big stage with the rest of his class, but he was actually really good and listened to the music and did all the little dance moves. I cried and smiled my face off – I’m gonna be a mess next year when he graduates!

We took video on the 550D so it’ll take a while for me to upload, but if you want to see a blurry picture of Jasper in his Rockin’ Robbin mask, then check out my photo on Instagram. I just about wet myself when the curtains opened and Jasper’s little stunned eyes were peeping out of that eye mask. ADORABLE.

This morning while I was baking in the kitchen, I could hear Jasper talking about Saturn & Jupiter, their sizes and weather and features. I found him sitting on the floor in the loungeroom looking at his space sticker poster he got for his birthday. He’s such an amazing little kid – when I look at him I can see both his baby face and his grown up face, it’s quite the phenomenom!

we spent the early morning hours at the local shopping centre’s playground.. at the start, Jasper needed my help to get through sections of the rope tunnel but within 20 minutes was confident enough to get through the whole tunnel on his own..

pass the tissues

Having a cough and a terribly runny nose isn’t what I call fun, but that’s what I’ve been up to this past week. Floating in an endless sea of tissues & hot lemon tea.

Jasper picked up something a couple of weeks ago and it drifted over to me, and now onto Jovie. Poor Jovie, she hasn’t coughed like that before so it scared her and she’s been really frowny these past few days. When she’s sad, she’s really sad. But when there’s a break in the storm and she’s smiling, it’s really really good.

It’s my joy in life to make Jovie smile. I’m so glad I get to try, every day.

November seems to be the month that flies by, before you know it Christmas will be here and then gone and 2012 will begin. The only good thing about time flying so fast is that time also brings possibilities and progress. I love looking forward, rather than back. Here’s to the summer!
