a little thank you
Posted on October 13th, 2008 by Tracey
actually, a HUGE thank you to everyone who has sent me emails or left messages here and at flickr! it’s fun to share secrets like this 🙂
every time i come online to post a thank you, i’ve gotten distracted either by nausea or my dear sweet Jasper – i can’t complain about either though 😉
we are very very excited to be expecting again 🙂 i actually took the test on father’s day so it was a lovely surprise (even though I knew something was up!). we always wanted our kids to be close in age, so feel very lucky to have fallen pregnant again without the dramas and the tears. (oh, how i dreaded that..).
i had been trying and trying to hold onto the 12 week mark to tell everyone – but i simply cannot hide my giant smile (and my giant belly that is already expanding). so to compromise, we told a few people (family, close friends) first and after my 7 week scan, i told my boss and then everyone else via flickr and my blog a bit later. like with Jasper, 8 is our lucky number so it’s only fitting to reveal at 8 weeks along again.
i have been experiencing morning sickness again this time around – worse and for a longer stretch so far (started at 3 weeks!!) but again, i don’t say it to complain – i feel very blessed to be given this gift and am happy for my body to do what it needs to do to grow this little one.
i am surrounded by so many great women that are pregnant right now including the amazing barb, the ever cool pamela and everyone’s favourite mummy blogger, karen cheng.
i really encourage the online community for ladies that are trying to conceive, who are pregnant and/or who have kids. it’s a wonderful place to really be honest and to get some support when you need it (and also give some support when others need it). if you’re reading and you’re expecting or trying, leave me a message or just hang around if you want. it’s always nice to hear from new friends 🙂 2-3 years ago, i never ever thought i would be a parent who blogs, but the whole experience is life changing, it’s hard not to talk about it!
i will write more once i get my sea legs up! i’m off to eat everything in sight …
xx
