getting there

Posted on September 13th, 2007 by Tracey

i'm BIG in sydney, you know

I didn’t realise I was this big already. Wow.

I have say, 7 weeks left? Buddha give me strength.

I should mention that the test results (for pre-term labour) came back OK 🙂 I just need to take it easier, which is hard since tomorrow and Saturday is the big move day. But after that, I’m all couch, baby! I still have 4 weeks of work left, but living closer to the hospital (for checkups) and being grounded somewhere will be heaps easier on me.

i take a full body brace for impact when i feel a sneeze coming on…

luckily the bub has his seat belt on (or something) and hasn’t come shooting out like i half expect him to

a little update

Posted on September 9th, 2007 by Tracey

so this could be the busiest week of my life!

at my last checkup at the hospital, i was screened for pre-term labour. apparently the period cramps, low backache, low belly ache, hoo-haa pains and other stuff I’ve been experiencing for the past couple of weeks could be signs that the bub will be here prematurely. i thought it was normal but they’re checking it out anyway. i’ll find out more on wednesday when i go in again, so i’m trying to immerse myself in stories and advice, just in case. i am comforted by the fact that 32 weeks along is not so bad if he did make an appearance, and that our hospital has an excellent unit for things like this.

so apart from ‘maybe’ the bub will be here early, we’re also moving this week for sure. the net connection at the townhouse will be connected by tomorrow afternoon (tuesday at the latest), which means we will be moved in on saturday/sunday. the townhouse is already looking great, i can’t wait to post some photos!

i’m very relieved, but also i feel like a total pain in the ass – there’s so much to move across, but i really can’t be moving stuff since i’m the size of a small whale now and i’ve been having those pre-term symptoms… my awesome parents have helped out so much, and i hate seeing them do all my dirty work.

luckily Regan should have this weekend free, so he’ll be able to help out but still, i hate being wrapped up in cotton this much.

oh well, back to the couch and the police helicopters i’ve been hearing/seeing 24 hours a day, this past APEC long weekend..
