a long time ago, all the way back in oh 2004? 2005? when my photoblog shutterbug was doing well (but is now, sadly, neglected like the last piece of stinky cheese on a platter), i met a fellow sydney photoblogger online with a photoblog called ‘shutterfly’. over time, we became friends and would meet offline to catch up and take photographs now and then. we shared the same passion for photography and both dreamed of doing ‘something’ with it. years later, we are still friends and i have seen her bloom into, what i think, is her best work yet.
if you haven’t seen her work already, i’d like to introduce you to Amanda Gilligan. an amazing polaroid artist, an avid film photographer, and a genuinely lovely human being.
she’s just opened her first print store at esty where you’ll find her gorgeous polaroid work up for sale. YES! you can now own a lovely piece of polaroid art to decorate your home.

“are you STILL looking at that house?” says my husband. and with that, i realise that yes, i’m obsessed!
after taking Jasper out to the playground this morning, we took a detour and visited the new show homes of Metricon. we drive past it often but never had the chance to go in and have a look, i would just pull over and stare. yes, i told you i was obsessed 😛
anyway, Jasper and I got out and walked through a few of them (didn’t want to drag JJ around too much) and wow! all of them are beautifully presented, amazing interiors and lovely big, open spaces. my favourite was The Laguna.
