i finally got off my ass (well technically, i was already on my ass but my ears where busy) and listened to the new radiohead all in one go.
first thoughts? it’s a beautiful record.
maybe i should have more of a review, but seriously it feels like something i want to listen to forever. (yes, i am a big radiohead fan if you can’t tell).
i love love love that Nude is on there (also known as Big Ideas). i think Weird Fishes/Arpeggi is gorgeous. i adore All I Need, Reckoner, House of Cards, Jigsaw and Videotape (oh how i love Videotape!!). basically the whole album, i could smear on a cupcake.
i also love that it’s out just in time for the birth of our child – it seems radiohead has been there at many times of my life where things become very very clear or when i need it to become clear.
of course, Regan and I have already ordered the release of the cd/vinyl/artwork – and I’m not sure how much Regan paid for the free download, but it’s definately at least worth the usual asking price of any new album on cd…
