hay fever is scary

for the past few days my hay fever is showing up in the morning and getting annoying

so i went to the chemist, spoke to the pharmacist about safe hay fever remedies for pregnant women and bought a nasal spray.

i should be basking in hay fever free goodness but there’s one small issue…. i’m afraid of nasal sprays 😛 the spray bit is pretty forceful!! i just know it’s going to spout of my eye sockets

oh dear. how old am i? 😛

plodding along

again, sorry for the lack of blogging lately. i think it’s like any stage of your life when something changes – being pregnant with a infant/toddler to look after is something new to me, and later on having 2 kids is going to be another challenge.

i think i’ll try to do nablopomo again this year – a full month (november) of blogging. i think i can do it! even if it’s totally boring to you, i’m sure i can say SOMETHING, lol.

i’m still feeling a bit blah – but some days i feel like the nausea is easing. the tiredness is crippling though – but there are still flashes of the ‘normal’ tracey in some parts of the day 🙂 my bump is getting bumpier – i think part of it is blubber, part of it is my stomach, part of it is bubba. but it’s definately there and getting bigger. (and i know this is going to sound crazy, but i’ve been feeling bubbles this past week – like movement bubbles. i’m almost 10 weeks now, i felt them at 11 weeks with Jasper, before he started kicking at 17 weeks… we’ll see, but i just wanted to make note!).

as Jasper’s 1st birthday gets closer, we’re realising that he’s just not a baby anymore!!! every day he’s more and more like a little boy. he’s cheeky, he’s independent (but wants his mummy cuddles) and he prefers to walk everywhere these days. it’s been a great year, i can’t believe my luck!

a little thank you

actually, a HUGE thank you to everyone who has sent me emails or left messages here and at flickr! it’s fun to share secrets like this 🙂

every time i come online to post a thank you, i’ve gotten distracted either by nausea or my dear sweet Jasper – i can’t complain about either though 😉

we are very very excited to be expecting again 🙂 i actually took the test on father’s day so it was a lovely surprise (even though I knew something was up!). we always wanted our kids to be close in age, so feel very lucky to have fallen pregnant again without the dramas and the tears. (oh, how i dreaded that..).

i had been trying and trying to hold onto the 12 week mark to tell everyone – but i simply cannot hide my giant smile (and my giant belly that is already expanding). so to compromise, we told a few people (family, close friends) first and after my 7 week scan, i told my boss and then everyone else via flickr and my blog a bit later. like with Jasper, 8 is our lucky number so it’s only fitting to reveal at 8 weeks along again.

i have been experiencing morning sickness again this time around – worse and for a longer stretch so far (started at 3 weeks!!) but again, i don’t say it to complain – i feel very blessed to be given this gift and am happy for my body to do what it needs to do to grow this little one.

i am surrounded by so many great women that are pregnant right now including the amazing barb, the ever cool pamela and everyone’s favourite mummy blogger, karen cheng.

i really encourage the online community for ladies that are trying to conceive, who are pregnant and/or who have kids. it’s a wonderful place to really be honest and to get some support when you need it (and also give some support when others need it). if you’re reading and you’re expecting or trying, leave me a message or just hang around if you want. it’s always nice to hear from new friends 🙂 2-3 years ago, i never ever thought i would be a parent who blogs, but the whole experience is life changing, it’s hard not to talk about it!

i will write more once i get my sea legs up! i’m off to eat everything in sight …

xx
