modern office furniture desks

while i have a few minutes to myself, i thought i would post up some of the beautiful desks i’ve found on the internet. i’m still aching for a proper office – a new desk, a DOOR, less clutter. because i’ve put it off for a while now, i think we’re able to afford a slightly nicer desk than the ikea ones i’ve seen 🙂

i’ll let you know if i find the perfect one, but for now those ones above aren’t so bad

shoes, on.

for the past 2 years or so, i’ve worn nothing but my thongs.

even in the winter, even in the rain, they were on my feet. i blame pregnancy 😛 my thongs were the only comfortable pair of shoes i had, so i wore them throughout the whole 9 months. but then i gave birth to Jasper, and the thongs stayed on because it was summer and it was hot.

but what happened when it got colder? why didn’t i take them off? who knows …

enough was enough last night when i had to venture out into the cold and rain. i’ve got a cough and i know i have to stay warm, so i pulled out my chucks and laced them up.

shoes on

like a baby learning to walk, it was awkward, lol. i’ll keep at it – life’s too short to be wearing just thongs year round 😉

if you see me and i’m wearing SHOES, pat me on the back or hand me a cookie (i prefer cookies) because i’m most likely dying inside, wanting to throw them across the room and put on my thongs.

unpredictable joy

never did i think that the simple art of clapping would be this exciting but
JASPER CAN CLAP!
and it was the most exciting 5 seconds of my life, lately.

we’d been trying to teach him how to clap for a few weeks – we would clap after he would play something on the pianosaurus, and he would swing his head around and stare at us like we were on fire. then that graduated into a sly smile, and now he can clap on his own!

ah, parenthood. unpredictable joy.
