28 weeks pregnant, and i finally got my butt over to the local pool for some laps!!
i had my midwife appointment this afternoon and convinced myself that this was the perfect excuse to go for a swim afterwards. i know that the third trimester can be tricky – you get slower, everything is sore, joints stiffen up and you can really have a miserable time. so i decided to embrace it, let’s get moving (slowly) and take care of yourself, tracey! (and let’s face it – the $9 prenatal yoga dvd just creeps me out – it looks and feels like the 70s!!!)
it was good to be in the water again – i haven’t been swimming since i was about 32 weeks pregnant with Jasper. hopefully, if all goes well, i will try and swim at least once a week for the next 8-10 weeks and then rest. today i did about 30 slow laps, which wiped me out LOL, next week i’ll try to do the same or a few more.
p.s. appointment went fine 🙂 had a blood test for iron and they’ll call if the results are showing i’m a bit low.. i’ve been taking iron supplements and eating more red meat and leafy greens, so i don’t feel as tired as i did before – but you never know!
baby girl is head down currently, she may or may not stay that way. fundal height is spot on 28 cms. blood pressure good, no complaints 🙂
p.p.s. no, there are no photos of me, pregnant and in a swimsuit. LOL.
Jasper is a button pusher, BIG TIME.
for months now, he’s been pushing every button he sees, and pushes it about 200 times (no joke). knows about the oven buttons, can open and close the garage door, LOVES to turn off the computer while we’re working on it.
last night, as we sat to watch some tv and relax, he kept changing the channels and popping up the tv menu (which he’s somehow switched to display in malay, i think) – something he always does, but for some reason, i just gave up LOL
jump to this morning when i thought it was time to finally look into a hard plastic cover or some sort of case – i tentatively typed in ‘tv button guard’ into Google – and lo and behold, there is such a thing!!!
i’ve got some searching to do …. 😀
not much to report on this end, which is good in a way 🙂
Jasper is such a character – dancing more, ‘talking’ more, just generally being an adorable toddler – with bouts of teething (we think he’s getting about 6 at once at the moment) and clingyness. he’s understanding more and more each day, LOVES to talk on the phone but we have no idea what he’s saying. he’s a pro at climbing up onto the couch and using it as a trampoline, which gives me a heart attack.
Regan’s fantastic too – working hard and really stepping up with Jasper lately because i’m turning into a sloth day by day. he’s hoping to take a month off work when baby girl arrives, so it will be great to have him around the house more 🙂 it’s going to be such a great time in both of our lives!!!
me, i’m getting there – still loving being pregnant but finding it hard to do things because of the general aches of morphing into ‘all belly’ again. work is tough, i’m fighting pregnancy brain though! weekends have been full of baking and resting which is nice. i’m definately getting into a nesting stage.
i mentioned it before, but i’m working hard to get all my blogs and shopping directory up to stratch so that i can not worry about redesigning them for at least 6 months. my sister and i still have plans to set up an online store – but i’ve had no time to ring the ATO about my ABN (which has expired without me knowing!).
i keep forgetting to post about this weird pregnancy thing i have. i had it with Jasper and now i have it again – i get the ‘scaredy cats’! my MIL bought me dexter season 1 and 2 on dvd for xmas, and i cannot bring myself to watch it yet LOL i *love* dexter and did watch most of season 1 already, but that was before getting pregnant. the other day i tried to psyche myself up to watch it, but chickened out – and later that night i had the most freakiest nightmares ever! so i’m sticking to my sitcoms a little while longer 😛
