let’s just pretend this post is full of self doubt and ramblings about being stressed and tired. i want to move on.
life’s too good to waste another day on waiting for something good to come along. you gotta make your own fun, find our own fortune and make dreams a reality.
but how do you do that? when you feel like you’re stuck in a hole and instead of climbing out, all you want to do is pull a blanket over your head and go back to sleep.
you do one thing at a time. take one simple step towards your goal. you start, today, and don’t look back.
so it’s Monday again, and before i get stuck into the routine (scramble to reply to emails, get some work done, take Jovie to playgroup, do the housework, dinner, at home therapy/play, bed), i’m buzzing from a great weekend!
saturday, Jasper and I headed off to Kids Day Out at the Sydney Showgrounds. to be honest, i thought the ticket price was too high (almost $100 for the 2 of us, which is why I didn’t take Jo) but coming away from it, it was worth that and more. there were tonnes of freebies (balloon artists, icecream, face painting, show bags, jumping castles and heaps of other stuff) but it also gave us the chance to see his (okay, our) favourites perform and then meet them afterwards.
Yo Gabba Gabba has been a part of our household since Jasper was born – and Jovie is currently O-B-S-E-S-S-E-D with them. she’s watching it now. she’ll watch it in the car on the drive to playgroup. it’s such a shame she didn’t get to do this –
i turned into a fangirl, to be honest. it was more exciting to me than it should be LOL
i made a little video of our day so I could show Regan but I thought it was fun enough to share with everyone else

sunday, we attended a christening for our of my dear friend’s baby boy – the kid’s first church experience. Jasper couldn’t sit still, and Jovie’s foot got caught in between chairs so Regan and I alternated between pacing outside and sitting to watch the ceremony.

but we got through it, and entered what i like to call heaven – an air conditioned hall with a huge (and delicious buffet). after an amazingly emotional and beautiful speech from bub’s dad, we celebrated with our friends and came away with great memories

All new! It’s my latest revamp, Chase The Light.
It’s been a long time coming, but I finally sat down and spent time on the sh1ft.org photographic projects site. It’s now called Chase The Light and will feature more info on photography projects (ones I run and others I find) and other great photography related news.
I’ve wanted to give my love of photography a seperate space to breathe – and the laptop crash was a sign to start all over again!
To kick off the revamp, I’ve set up a new photography project called Fifty 50. I’m crazy about diptych’s over at Instagram and thought it’d be a cool way to connect with others that post diptychs too! I’ll have themes in later months, but for now everything is in the ‘getting to know you (again)’ stage.
There’ll still be kinks in the site and blog for a bit, but I hope you enjoy the new site 🙂
